If you register for a course but decide you don’t want to take it, you must officially drop it. It is not enough to inform your instructor or to just not show up.
If you don’t officially drop a course, you will be required to pay for it and you will receive a grade of “F”.
If you have to miss the first scheduled class but want to remain enrolled, you must notify your instructor by email or phone. If you do not, your instructor may 'No Show' you and remove you from the class to admit students off of the waitlist. You will return to find a 'NS' beside the course in your Course Enrolment History and that you no longer have a seat in the class. There is no recourse but to add yourself to the end of the waitlist if this happens.
